On 11 June 2024, at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, the PhD defence of Friederike Schäfer, who was employed in the ENTHRAL project as a doctoral fellow, took place. The topic of her dissertation was Uncertainty quantification and sensitivity analysis of vascular hemodynamics. Application to the common carotid artery. The supervisor of the doctoral thesis was Prof. Leif Rune Hellevik.
The evaluation committee consisted of:
- Prof. Mette Olufsen (North Carolina State University, USA) – main external reviewer,
- Prof. Kent-Andre Mardal (University of Oslo, Norway) – second external reviewer,
- Prof. Jochen Köhler (NTNU) – member of the assessment committee.
Friederike successfully defended her dissertation, receiving distinction.
